THE RAREST FORM OF BLESSING TO ACHIEVE

Have you ever wondered why there is so much discontent and a cloud of depression among humans? Why happiness has become sparse? Where our peace of life has vanished? How we have routed our lives in a never-ending rat race? We have become so stressed and loaded with work that we barely remember the meaning and purpose of our lives anymore. Hardly ever do we realize our direction and what the path we are following is turning us into. Perception of happiness and content has changed and is only limited to those fulfilling certain criteria.

The quest for comfort and the race for wealth has rocketed to the sky. Our whole lives are dedicated to achieving these objectives because they are a universally set parameter for success. The success that we chase is beyond our will mostly but we still choose to stay as this is the only choice given to us. The society that we live in counts our blessings to determine our success and decide whether we are accepted as a noble part of it or not. These traditions and traits are shattering dreams of plenty and forcing them to go the track not fit for them.

The problem doesn’t stop here though. The criteria that we have set also suggest a precise time to accomplish the above-mentioned objectives. At this point, society becomes sinister and insidious for the person trying to complement the criteria. A time bomb has been set and one has to work his head off with all blood and sweat to prove his worth. Alas, Our discrimination has reached new heights and found another variation of differentiation. Alas, we have started to follow the road that leads to only depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction, envy, and ungratefulness.

We have found our pleasure and joy in lucrative lives. We have found our happiness in comfort and wealth. We have found our peace in opulence. In conclusion, our own perception is the reason for our doom. The competition of collection and penny-pinching suck every ounce of delight out of our souls. How this concept of life has taken over our minds prodigiously. Meaning and purpose of life never depended on these targets but something that we consider outdated and quaint.

Happiness doesn’t come from money and it never will. Money only fulfills our desires and they grow with wealth promptly. So what does happiness rely on? It relies on the people around us. The more we enjoy their company, their contribution, their role in our lives, and the more we credit their presence make our lives bloom. When we gratefully appreciate our blessings whatever they are and relish them with our loved ones, is where we can discover the real essence of the content. Unfortunately, not applauded globally, it still, is one of the most merriment experiences one can be blessed with.

Now as we talk about peaceful life, one may assume that peaceful life is full of luxuries and wealth. However, this is far from true too. Peace comes when you view your existence as being helpful to others. When your being makes lives around you better. When your being becomes the reason for someone else’s content. When you are rewarded with the responsibility of ameliorating people among your society. The art of giving away to the people what you are blessed with and what you possess for the sole purpose of betterment of society brings the peace that is found nowhere else. Giving away to benefit others and enjoying their accomplishments carry a sense of pleasure and tranquility that not all are bestowed with.

Another way you can attain content and joy is by following your own path and not one designated by others. When you do what you love, is when you achieve greatness for yourself. You are successful when you are doing what you are interested in and what brings joy and a smile to your face. A lot of us run after the fields carrying the highest weightage of wealth earning rather than following our passions. This only increases pressure on our shoulders and we become livid with our lives. All that is needed to be done, is what you want to do, because even though it will not make you rich but will make you happy.

The bitter truth for all of us is that richness doesn’t bring happiness and peace. Our priorities have taken us far from the reality of our nature. You can be rich but you cannot be happy. What use is of that wealth then? Nothing. It doesn’t mean that you should not be wealthy but you should not desire for purpose of lavish. It’s the craving for opulence that diverts us from our purpose. Wealthy and poor all have the same opportunity for benefitting society and should go for it to whatever extent possible and find peace through it. If not that, then find joy with the people around you. Or find content by carving your path in your field of interest.

Gold, diamonds, gems can never be more expensive and rare than actual happiness and peace. Pray for achieving these goals and work for establishing them in your life. The people who have found them will tell what worth these attributes are. Recognize the real wealth and devote your life in the quest for it and you’ll find the meaning as well as the purpose of your life.
